Jump jump jump,
Skip, Skip, Skip,
The trees are the walls, the sky is the ceiling,
Running around is fine and jumping about is free!
These words came into my thoughts when I took this picture at ‘’Sakuramichi’, one of the favourite places for the kids here at Sakura Kindergarten.
‘Sakuramichi’ means Sakura road. It is a small side road between the kindergarten and the car park. Sakuramichi is full of nature with a small stream, cherry blossom trees, ginko trees, plum tress, flowers, mountains and rice fields. We also are able to see fish, grasshoppers, dragonflies, butterflies, ladybirds, turtles and fireflies at night.
Along the ways, kids hold hands, chase each other, pick up seasonal flowers/insects while parents can hear their laughs, fights and bird sings.
We share our thoughts about raising kids as well as enjoying the colours of the trees, flowers and leaves, which change seasonaly.
It is just a short walk, but day by day we feel that our kids have been learning how to live in harmony with their friends, and absorbing the beauty of nature which we believe is a good foundation for their future.

木が壁で、空が天井、
走り回るのも問題なし、飛び回るのも自由だ！
これらの言葉は、さくらの子どもたちのお気に入りの場所の1つである「さくらみち」でこの写真を撮ったときに思いつきました。
さくらみちは、こども園と駐車場との間にある小さな脇道です。ここには、小川、桜、銀杏、梅、花、山、田んぼなど、自然がいっぱいです。また、魚、バッタ、トンボ、蝶、テントウムシ、カメ、夏の夜にはホタルを見ることもできます。
子どもたちは手をつなぎ、追いかけあい、季節の花や昆虫をとります。その間、親たちは子どもたちの笑い声や掛け声、そして鳥のさえずりを聞くことができます。
おとなたちは、季節ごとに変化する木、花、葉の色を楽しむだけでなく、子育てについての考えをシェアしています。
歩いてすぐの道のりですが、子どもたちは日々、友達との調和のとれた生き方を学び、将来のよい基盤になるであろう自然の美しさを吸収していると感じています。
